The QTVR opens looking East and slightly up gazing upon the Corning Tower (tallest at the plaza.) To the right across the small reflecting pool is the the NYS Cultural Education Center (housing the New York State Museum, and Library, ) Opposite the Corning Tower are four shorter office towers. Looking North, across the large reflecting pool, is the NYS Capitol building, flanked by two legislative office buildings. To left of the Corning Tower is the Egg, home to the NYS Center for the Performing Arts.
